Celebrity victim!

I feel Shiney Ahuja is merely a celebrity victim. He is being punished for something he hasn't done. Even when the maid confessed nothing had happened, no one seems to believe it...and it hasn't been considered.

If you know Shiney Ahuja, you would know he is so caring and loving person, whoc would even think of hurting anyone.

I second that film stars are also human beings! The verdict has not just come as a shock, but it asks you to think twice if the justice has been actually done???

I don't know how many of you would agree with me on this, but to my true understanding and knowledge maximum no. of cases in this context are farce and a mere money making gimmick by the players sitting outside! He and his family were too innocent to be trapped in the rut created by the players or enemies.

I am no one to point my finger at our law or judiciary in this case , but just want to throw a question to you all that is it fair to give end number of twists and turns to such a case and end up with a verdict that is so harsh to even accept???

Why our media, law and the activists are not bothered about the maid who changed her statements in and out and now that the verdict has come, she doesn't seem to be there in the picture!

Is it just because that he was a celebrity , and being celebrity means one needs to be deprived of all the love , warmth and empathy from the world???

Today, it's 'Shiney' from the fraternity , tomorrow it can be anyone and the repercussions might be worst than what has taken place.

It's high time we all wake up to reality and defy something so unfair and shocking to believe!

Let's act together and stand by him and his family who deserve equal amount of respect, warmth, support, care and happiness as you all .

MAY THE JUSTICE BE DONE!

Politicians and corrupt officials are walking free these days just because they have power and money to bribe.
On the other side our media is also making negative publicity and targetting people like Shiney just to get some TRP's. They don't care what he and his family has to go through each day, minute, second. They are also not acting responsibely to find and show truth to the world.
Judgement has also raised several questions on our system as no consideration has been given to the fact that maid agreed she framed Shiney.
Come on guys wake up!

I have known him for almost 2 decades now! Saying that he has a heart of gold would just be deemed "sentimental". Sad , because more than sentimental, it is true.

Having followed the case closely , it is replete with an overactive media (WHY?), False statements, and numerous articles with dubious authors.

If there is such a thing as JUSTICE, why the ludicrous verdict of 7 years? Based on what law?

The presiding judge has appeared whimsical and callous.

I just shudder to think that if our law makers are not accountable to anybody for their actions, what is to become people like you and me??

You think you are a free individual? Wait till someone decides you belong in jail for 7 years for a crime with no victim! Because it can happen! Evidently.

It's high time the powerful and influential and public SERVANTS become answerable to the citizens they have been hired to SERVE.

I smell foul play in the judges verdict and am convinced there is something doctored and framed in the way this case has progressed!

NOT FAIR.

"I have known this family for the past four years," said Ruchika Marwah, a neighbour of the Ahuja family. "I have known Shiney as a loving husband, father and son. I was shocked to know of the incident. I disbelieve whatever happened."

Another neighbour named Satish Kapoor said, "I have known the family for the past seven years. I have never faced any problem whatsoever."

Anupam added that Shiney had not admitted to consensual sex with the maid. She stated that he was being framed because of his celebrity status.

"I have backing from the film fraternity," the actor's wife said. "They have all said that they know Shiney is innocent. (Directors) Anurag Basu and Sudhir Mishra have also shown their support towards Shiney."

Shiney is being FRAMED. Shame on bollywood for not showing support.

Interesting fact in the judgement. Shiney was accused of section 376 (rape), 342 (wrongful confinement) and 506(II) (criminal intimidation by giving threat to victim).
Now shiney was acquitted for 342 which means he did not confine the victim. He was also acquited for 506(II) which means he did not threaten her. The victim said he did not rape her. I'm not sure whats going on.

Shame on the Indian Judicial System...how can they announce a verdict by looking at just one-third of the case and ignoring the rest?? Something is fishy here...

Its a matter of a life...a family...of justice being denied...and future of an Indian which is being thrown towards a black hole!

I will stand up for Shiney and so should all the Indians!

What a lousy comment passed by the so called director in a national daily!

Madam 'Bedi' what timing I must say...if you are so keen to be in the limelight, let us know, we will get you better publicity.

Undoubtedly your article is full of hyperbole aiming to seek public empathy and self contradictory.

Have you just woken up from your sleep or you thought it's the right time to make it in news ? Where were you months down the line ?If you claim what you have got published is true and you have spoken your heart out , then why is all this rubbish coming out only after the verdict?

Well...do sleep over with this question and get back with your facts right!

It's awful to see how the people from within the fraternity are not 'ONE', for them this verdict is coming out as an opportunity to play games and mock at someone's misery.

Request you to refrain from such acts and try acting humane for someone who needs your support and nothing else.
