Do you think Shiney Ahuja is getting justice?
Shiney Ahuja's case verdict has come as a shock to a lot of Bollywood celebrities and tweeted about the case:
Arshad Warsi feels that the government is being tough because he is an actor.
'Murderers, terrorist n corrupt politicians r walking free n Shiney Ahuja gets 7yrs... Judiciary should stop targeting Actors so blatantly. I am NOT saying he's right but don't forget that Kassab is still enjoying our hospitality...Do u know the no. of rapes that happen in our country on a daily basis by influential n connected ppl... Those cases r not even registered. My point is all criminals should be punished equally, its not fair to make an example of an actor only because it makes news,' he tweeted.
Sandhya Mridul felt that the verdict was unfair.
She wrote: 'what do u guys feel about the shiney verdict? I personally feel its too harsh .. and only hope its not because he's an actor.. God let justice prevail..feel awful for the family.. Really dont care about the loss to indian cinema nonsense..just care that justice be done.'
Celina Jaitly was in a state of shock after hearing the verdict.
She said, "It's shocking. I don't know if his lawyer gets to re-appeal. My heart reaches out to his family. What they must be going through. Many rapists and criminals roam free. I feel Shiney paid for being a celebrity."
Soha Ali Khan who worked with Shiney in Khoya Khoya Chand and the unreleased Accident expressed shock on being told about the verdict.
"I am shocked. I can't even begin to imagine what he and his family must be going through. I don't know the actual facts. So I can only pray for them to have inner strength. I wish them well."
Pritish Nandy, who has been his producer in Hazaaron Khwai-shein Aisi
He says, "The Shiney I know is very different I read about these days. It saddens me to see such a gifted young life wasted behind bars particularly when the alleged victim has withdrawn all charges. The Kasliwal boy got away scot free on the same heinous charge on the same day that Shiney got 7 years RI. The price you pay for being famous I guess. Sad."
Chitrangda Singh his co-star (Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi and Kal) is very upset by the verdict.
She says, "I'm stunned. I hope this is not an exceptionally harsh sentence simply for his being a celebrity. I hope the law is just as unsparing and quick with the Kalmadis of this country's politics who've raped our country."

Just because someone is famous enough to create new law and goverment is using him to glorify themseleves.If this is the thing and if our goverment is so particular about all the rules and regulations then why was salman khan freed easily few years back?? He had killed a deer right?? Why is sanjay dutt free?? Wasn't he convicted to have underworld connections during the bomb blasts?? Why is kasab still alive?? If a rape case gets 7yrs of imprisonment isn't it obvious enough that kasab, a terrorist who killed 100s of innocent people gets death sentence straightaway??? Why on earth is he still alive. Only because all these people had or have influential connections they are allowed to live their life in luxury. And luxury to also a terrorist. Kasab gets all kinds of luxury treatment in his SO CALLED Jail. And out media is freely highlighting it with pride. They should have done something against it not support it!!!

As far as I have heard Shiney cannot even hurt an Ant.....This whole thing was a setup in my eyes.
HE IS INNOCENT AND JUSTICE NEEDS DOING....... it is not justified as an innocent man is behind the bars.
A true hardworking Indian actor behind the bars because os a setup.....what a shame...where is our Justice system gone....his career is in ruins as this maid probably wanted to make quick bucks in life by targeting a hardworking, loving father, husband and son like Shiney.
I'm still shocked as our justice system failed as well....truly said....ANDHA KANOON....

And when the channels sufficiently drove in the message that Ahuja wasnt clean, the same channels started questioning whether Ahuja was a victim of his celeb status"
Interesting fact in the judgement. Shiney was accused of section 376 (rape), 342 (wrongful confinement) and 506(II) (criminal intimidation by giving threat to victim).
Now shiney was acquitted for 342 which means he did not confine the victim. He was also acquited for 506(II) which means he did not threaten her. The victim said he did not rape her. I'm not surewhats going on.
The victim turns back on her allegation - and yet the court sentences the accused with a seven year imprisionment. It's sure fishy and tragic ...esp when we have seen so many of the genuinely gulity roaming scot-free.
If this is what they call Fast-track, we have had it!
If they made shiney a special case and put him in fast track, then the judicial system should also put him on fast track in the high court therefore make an exception to expidite the issue in the high court to acquit him as soon as possile.
Judicial system in the hight court is very respected and balanced and seeing the facts will definatley escalte the issue.
hopefully by the end of this year or soon, shiney wiil be out acquited.
Bale is not an issue...he will get bail...no issues in that.
what we want is the the stamp of rapist be removed ASAP.
High court is just and all the points are in his favour. i hope the judicial system understands that and expidite the isue and he is acquited in a few hearings.
